Job description
Maxxima’s Social Work team are currently recruiting for Children’s Social Workers to fill job roles in Bolton
The role will be based within Children and Families Services who are looking for Qualified Social Workers to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.
The pay rate for these roles is up to £30 per hour, and the roles will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.
We are looking for experienced Children and Families Social Workers to work in the following busy service
This is a busy and dynamic team offering a statutory service to Looked After Children, Care Leavers and Homeless Young People; some of whom will have very complex needs. We work with Young People from the age of 16 potentially up to 25 helping them to develop their Pathway into independence.
With outstanding communication skills and the ability to engage with resistant Young People you will be committed to improving life chances and outcomes for Care Leavers. You must have excellent skills in assessment, analysis and planning as well as being comfortable in managing complex and challenging needs, risks and behaviours. You should understand the disadvantage faced by Care Leavers and be able to work creatively and collaboratively to redress this balance.
This can be demanding but rewarding work. We have a strong teamwork ethos with frequent team meetings. You can expect regular formal supervision, easy access to informal support and excellent in-house training.
One full time position 37 hours per week
Remote and homeworking will be possible
Maxxima benefits:
Call to action – Apply via clicking the button or contact us for more information about the role.
Reasonable adjustments:
If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team. With this information, we will provide appropriate support to you throughout the process and into your work placement.
Recommend a colleague:
Often, our candidates are so pleased with our service that they recommend us to their friends and colleagues. To encourage this and say thank you, we offer a referral bonus incentive.
The way it works is simple: if you introduce a candidate who is not previously known to Maxxima and we are successful in placing them, we will pay you up to £1,500. More information regarding referrals can be found on our website.
*The post qualification experience range stated is purely a guide. We will consider candidates that fall outside of this range if they can strongly demonstrate the required competencies.
