Job description

The Speech and Language Therapy team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to cover an exciting adult opportunity at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will assess and deliver treatment plans in the community to Adult patients on our Dysphagia and/or  Communication pathway in the Boroughs of Knowsley and St Helens with a range of needs including neurodegenerative conditions, voice disorders and dementia. Patient assessments and reviews are being carried out face to face, via video link (Attend Anywhere) or telephone. The therapist will be required to provide reviews of current patients on the Community caseload and assessments of new patients referred to the service with the oversight of the Clinical Lead within the service. There may be a requirement to access care homes to undertake patient assessments.

Banding: 7
Location: Whiston, Merseyside
Hours: Part Time/Full Time 
Duration: TBC (with potential for an extension).
Essential skills:
  • HCPC registered
  • Relevant Speech and Language Therapy qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate paediatric experience
  • Cannot consider remote working
