Maxxima's Social Work team are currently recruiting for Childrens Advanced Practitioners to fill a full-time job role in Sheffield

The roles will be based within Social Services, who are looking for Childrens Advanced Practitioners to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The pay rate for this role is up to £35 per hour

Requirements and details of this vacancy

*We are looking for an advanced social work practitioner with a significant amount of experience in child protection and children in need cases to work at our North fieldwork office in the city centre. North covers the area from city centre to Stocksbridge. Our caseloads on average are around 20 and you will be working in a small team of six social workers managed by a Senior Fieldwork manager. As an advanced social worker you will be expected to undertake court work and complex casework. Candidates must be able to start in December.

*We are looking for an advanced social work practitioner to work in our Sheffield Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to cover a social worker's sickness absence. You must have significant experience in frontline child protection and assessment as you will be screening cases and decision making on referral of cases into fieldwork services. You will have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and experience of working in a front line team with a thorough understanding of thresholds and universal services. You will ensure that you apply consistently high standards to ensure better outcomes for children and their families.
The Safeguarding Hub is the first point of contact for children, young people and families in need or in need of safeguarding within the City of Sheffield and is based in the city centre at Moorfoot building.
