Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to work across multiple sites in North Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a trust that combines a patient first approach with innovation and creativity against a backdrop of holistic team working.

Working as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for leading and delivering Clinical Pharmacy services to specialist clinical areas and provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

What’s in it for you?
  • Salary from £49,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience

On a typical day you will:
  • Plan and lead the provision of ward and clinical services to designated specialist area wards and to supervise and support less experienced colleagues.
  • Take the lead in the development of local specialist guidelines and policies (including PGDs) within own area of responsibility and to contribute to the development of Medicines Management policy Trust wide.
  • Review patients’ notes and prescriptions and to provide highly specialist advice to patients, medical staff and other healthcare professionals in order to ensure safe and effective medicines management and the best in patient care.
  • Analyse drug expenditure and assist in financial planning for the specialist area.
  • Assist the Assistant / Chief Pharmacists in recruitment and day to day supervision of staff / students working within and where necessary outside own specialist area.
  • Provide a comprehensive range of secondary care services from three main centres, as well as community services in North Lincolnshire.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • A vocational Master’s degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience
  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of four years post qualification including a minimum of 12 months post qualification experience in relevant specialist area)
  • Previous experience of supervising / mentoring junior colleagues
