Maxxima's nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant / Care Navigator to fill a full-time role within the SAS team in Ipswich. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of general healthcare practices within the NHS and will also have administration experience.

In this NHS role, you will work with a community based service that provides a secure environment in which patients who have been violent or aggressive in their GP practice can receive general medical services. This role will require you to support the clinical team by signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service, working as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to work collaboratively with key partners' organisations, patients, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

The pay rate for this locum Band 3 Healthcare Assistant is £10.50 per hour (Umbrella), and is a full time (hours flexible to meet the demands of the service), 3 month contract due to start ASAP.

The team is based in Ipswich however you may be required on occasions to work across the local area.

Requirements of this Band 3 Healthcare Assistant / Care Navigator vacancy:

You must have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification with previous experience as a HCA
Strong administration experience, including receiving calls over the telephone
You will ideally have experience working with violent and aggressive patients
You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
