Job description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking a Band 3 Phlebotomist to fill a full-time role in Harlow, Essex or Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting.

In this NHS role, you must have an experience taking blood. Your role will be to verify test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station log; bringing discrepancies to the attention of unit personnel, verify patient by reading patient identification and obtain blood specimens by performing venipunctures and fingersticks. There are two locations to choose from Harlow Essex or Bishop Stortford Hertfordshire.

This role will be 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30 (7.5 hours with 30 mins break) over 5 days.
 
The pay rate for this locum Band 3 Phlebotomy job is £13.29 per hour (Umbrella) starting ASAP until 31 October.
 
Requirements of the Band 3 Phlebotomy role:
  • You must be an experienced phlebotomist
  • You must have a relevant qualification or certification
  • You must be available for the full placement period
