Job description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking a Band 4 Associate Practitioner to join the Substance Misuse team and fill a full time role in Chelmsford, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of working with service users within a Substance Misuse Service.

You will work as a member of Essex STaRS in providing high quality, evidence-based, holistic care to service users in line with trust policies. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate packages of care based upon individual service user’s needs, under the guidance of the Senior Nurse as per NICE guidance. You will also act as a mentor to students and junior staff, and be responsible for supervising unqualified staff.

The pay rate for this locum Band 4 Associate Practitioner role is £13.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 1-month placement, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Requirements of the Band 4 Associate Practitioner role:

-Good standard of education

-Good written and spoken English

-Foundation degree – Associate Practitioner or equivalent

-Commitment to and attainment of the National Care Certificate no later than 6 months from date of appointment.
