Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 4 Dental Nurse to fill a full time, 8:45am - 5pm, job role in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of oral medicine practices.

As a Dental Nurse within this NHS Oral Medicine Department, you will be working alongside dentists in a busy rapid access service. You will work with patients who are concerned about their oral health care with chronic, recurrent and medically related disorders to the oral and maxillofacial region and assist in the non-surgical management of this.

Referrals cam include ulcers, pain, red patches, bone lesions, gland swelling and pigmented patches. You will be responsible for adhering to strict health and hygiene standards to prevent infection or contamination.

This specialist NHS Dental Hospital provides a range of dental services including Walk-in Emergency care, Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Peadiatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. The public access all dental services in one wing of the building whilst the second wing provides world-class research facilities and a modern learning environment for more than 600 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The pay rate for this locum Dental Nurse job is £11.56 per hour (Umbrella) and is an on-going contract, due to start ASAP.

Requirements of the Band 4 Dental Nurse role:

- You must have current registration with the GDC
- You must have an NQV Level 3 in Dental Nursing or equivalent
- You must have some previous experience in Oral Medicine
- You must be confident in dealing with referrals
