Job description

Maxxima's nursing team are currently recruiting for two Band 4 Drug/Alcohol Workers to fill a job role in Sheffield. Vacancies are available across the drug team and alcohol teams.

Our NHS Client are looking for a Drug and Alcohol Worker/Support Worker to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). The pay rate of this role is at £14 per hour (umbrella rate), and the role will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

Requirements and details of this Support Worker vacancy:
*We are looking for candidates who have a significant understanding of substance misuse practices within the NHS.
*This service provides advice, support and treatment to anyone using non-opiate drugs and alcohol over the age of 18.
*The candidate will be responsible for the provision of a walk-in service for those wishing to access the service, conduct initial assessments (triage) to gain understanding of substance use/key associated issues, and develop and implement recovery based care packages based on a collaborative formulation for the service users needs.
*The candidate will be expected to take the lead on a mixed caseload, supported by a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure that the care provided directly meets each individual's needs.
