Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 4 Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role in Southall, Ealing. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Mental Health within the community.

The team are looking for applications from candidates who have worked within mental health and the community and who can start within the next 2 weeks. They would be pleased to receive applications from newly qualified nurses/social workers who are looking to gain NHS experience following their study.

The role will be to work with a list of cases, meeting the clients (either face-to-face or via phone) to assess their mental state and establish what their current needs are, in order for the Multi-Disciplinary Team to form a plan for that client, and then for the practitioner to carry out that plan. This team sits within a larger recovery team and works with clients who are not in crisis, but who may need some support, signposting or brief intervention before their care can be transferred back to the GP or the local primary care mental health team.  Knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health difficulties is therefore needed, although training and support will be given.

The team sits within a friendly, busy Community Recovery Team in Southall, serving one half of the Borough of Ealing. The wider team is made up of psychiatrists, CPNs, psychologists, Social Workers, OTs and support workers and is based 5 minutes from Southall train station in the heart of Southall.

This role is 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, due to start ASAP.
