Job description

Maxxima are looking for a band 4 Rehabilitation Egneering Technician to Join a team in Berkshire.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: 31/10/21 (could be extended)
  • Working Pattern: 37.5 (or part time can be flexible)
  • Shift Pattern: Mon to Th 9 – 5, Fri 8.30-4.30
  • Specific Skills:
  • Providing quality rehabilitation engineer technician support across a multi-disciplinary team in clinic and in the patient’s home
  • Carrying out selective mechanical and software modifications to wheelchairs
  • Set up, deliver and handover of manual wheelchair equipment to clients as directed by Therapists and Engineers
  • Working with other specialists from provider organisations in clinic time as required
  • To understand and risk assess on modifications to equipment
  • Carry out environmental checks in patients’ homes
  • Managing stock in line with therapists, patients and clinical requirements
  • Providing support in the moving and handling of patients and equipment
  • Working unsupervised
We are looking for someone with experience or keen interest in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, a team player who will enjoy working in a dynamic and evolving service and above all has a passion for supporting patients with complex needs. You will be working alongside a specialist team of Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Rehab Engineer and Technician, supported by a great administration team, which takes pride in their ability to make a real difference to patients’ lives.
