Job description

Maxxima's nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Lymphoedema Practitioner/Specialist to fill a job role in West Hertfordshire.

This NHS role will require you to assist in the provision of a comprehensive service for patients with chronic oedema. You will provide care plans for patients with uncomplicated lymphedema and those with stable lymphedema in long-term management, including skin care, exercise, compression therapy and SLD/MLD. You will undertake assessments, monitoring, information provision and patient support. Your role will be to assist with service provision, under supervision, the prevention of chronic oedema related exacerbation's, including cellulitis, ulceration and lymphorrhea and develop specialist knowledge to be able to advise staff, patients and carers.

Our NHS Client are looking for a Band 5 Community Lymphoedema Practitioner nurse to start on 1st October, on a Full time basis (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). The pay rate of this role is at £18.00 per hour (umbrella rate), and the role will initially be a two-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

Requirements of the Band 5 Lymphoedema Practitioner Nurse vacancy:
*You must be a registered nurse with current NMC pin
*You must have experience and interest in lymphoedema management
*It is desirable but not essential that you Lymphoedema or tissue viability related CPD
