Job description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Nurse to fill a full time role in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of working with service users within a Substance Misuse Service. 

Working as part of a nursing team based within Sheffield, the post holder will provide specialist assessment and substance misuse interventions to service users of START, including those service users with complex physical and/or mental health problems, and their families and carers (Dual Diagnosis).
 
Your role will be to;
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate specialist interventions and treatments in line with service plans and prioritise on an individual, joint or group basis.
  • Plan, organise and co-ordinate multi-agency activities and care with other professionals and agencies.
  • Work in partnership with service users and agencies to ensure that there is effective communication and liaison about treatment plans across SHSC, START and Primary Care services.

The job requires clinical knowledge and experience and willingness to work within a multi-disciplinary integrated team with service users experiencing drug/alcohol problems.
 
The pay rate for this locum Band 5 Nurse is £17 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contact due to start ASAP. 

Requirements of the Band 5 Nurse role: 
  • You must be a Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) with a valid NMC pin
  • You must have previous experience within a  Substance Misuse Service. 
  • Evidence of substantial experience in working with service users with mental health and substance misuse problems.
