Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Registered General Nurse to work on an adult Mental health ward in Nottinghamshire. The ideal candidates will have a significant understanding of mental health nursing within the NHS.

This NHS role will require you to work in an adult Mental Health Ward where you will work with the physical healthcare matron providing support. You will be working with people who have severe mental illness. Your role will include taking baseline observations to ensuring MUST, BRADEN, wound care and all related elements of basic physical health are taken and monitored. You will be required to partake in patient reviews, and MDT reviews on the unit. Our client is keen for a nurse with existing experience in mental health or someone with previous experience in prisons or other facilities where they have worked with this client group. However, if you do not have this experience but feel confident working with this client group and have a keen interest you will be considered.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

The pay rate for this Band 5 Registered General Nurse is £18.00-£29.00 (depending on shift/day) PH Umbrella rates

Requirements for this Band 5 Registered General Nurse vacancy:
  • You must be a registered general nurse with a valid NMC.
  • Must be have post qualifying experience
  • Experience within mental health, prisons or other facilities is preferred but not essential
  • You must be able to start ASAP
