Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role in the Hospital Mental Health Team based in Barnet
The pay rate for this Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse is £22.14 per hour (Umbrella), due to start as soon as possible.
The post holder will work on the 27 bedded Continuing Care Ken Porter Ward in Barnet which provides mental and physical healthcare to Older and Younger Adults of mixed gender.  The successful candidate will work alongside RMNs. He/She will be a Physical health Champion for the Ward responsible for the assessment of physical health and mental health care needs and for the planning, implementing and evaluation of the care provided to meet those needs. He/She will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team and will liaise closely with other agencies both within and outside the ward. Dual qualification is desirable but not necessary.
The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern rota that includes both night and weekend working. He/She will be expected to work closely with Doctors, RMNs and other agencies to in order to meet the physical and mental health needs of the patients
The post holder will provide support, consultation, and formal and informal training to colleagues and other staff. Excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential to this post.
