Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role within this Low Secure Female Forensic Unit, based in Oxford
The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of forensic mental health practices
Based at Thames House, which is a Low Secure female forensic unit based at the Littlemore site in Oxford  Kestrel and its sister ward, Kingfisher, are collectively known as Thames House and provide 26 beds between them. 
The Kestrel and Kingfisher wards are looking for Band 5 RMNs on long lines of work or a temp to perm basis, this is an inpatient unit with a 24/7/365 roster and workers should be prepared to carry out a range of shifts
The pay rate for this Band 5 Mental Health Nurse is £19.00 per hour (Umbrella) days, £24 per hour (nights) and £30 (Sundays) and you will working on a rota basis
 Requirements of this Band 5 Mental Health Nurse role
  • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health Nursing
  • Experience working within a forensic or secure unit
  • Experience of working in mental health setting with service users presenting with complex issues
  • Able to commit to at least the next 3 months, ideally 6 months with a view to the role being made permanent
