Job description

Maxxima is currently searching for a rotational Band 5 Occupational Therapist, to work within a community rehabiliation team in South-East Birmingham.

Job Purpose:

  • To take responsibility for providing an Occupational Therapy Service to the specified inpatient and outpatient clinical areas: helping patients to engage as independently as possible in activities which enhance their health & wellbeing.
  • To manage a defined caseload of patients with health & social care needs, using evidence based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement & evaluate interventions.
  • To work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary (MDT) and interdisciplinary teams (IDT) to promote the continuing rehabilitation of patients in the service. To advise/share skills of assessment and treatment with team members.
  • To contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy Service in the Adults and specialist Division.
  • To promote and maintain the ethos of Occupational Therapy in all clinical and professional activities.

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered 
  • Experience of working within a multidisaplinary community team
  • Driver with access to a car
