Maxxima is currently searching for an enthusiastic band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapist to work in a acute/elderly medicine ward in a major hospital, in Derby.

The role:
- To independently manage the OT caseload on one ward and work as part of the MDT in order to assess patients, identify rehab potential and facilitate safe discharge, including the prescription of appropriate equipment.
- Previous in patient experience as an OT within acute medicine/ elderly wards is essential, as is the ability to prioritise in order to assist on other wards as required.
- The ability to communicate at a high level with the MDT, Therapy colleagues, patients, families and carers is also essential.
- 2 months with a likely extension after review.
- We are looking for candidates who can work full-time Mon-Fri 8:30-16:30 however part time applicants will be considered.
- Rates will range from £18-26 p/h.
