Job description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking for a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to fill a full-time role in Barking, East London. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and skills working within Mental Health and ideally Child and Adolescents Mental Health.

To carry out initial assessment, risk assessment and management plan for young people and children. To be confident to carry out mental state examination during assessment. To provide leadership, and to promote initiative, creativity, and motivation in CAMHS where appropriate

This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week. Due to start immediately, until June.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner job is £24.00 per hour (Umbrella).

Requirements of the Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner role:

  • You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC pin
  • You must have clinical experience within CAMHS or working with young people
  • You must have excellent assessment and time management skills
  • You must have experience of delivering clinically robust mental health assessments
