Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to fill a full-time role in the Fenland Adult Locality Team, based in Wisbech. The ideal candidates will have a significant understanding of mental health nursing within the NHS.
In this role you will be working within the Fenland Adult Locality Team carrying out the following duties;
  • Conduct caseload management following structured treatment planning, being involved in MDT formulations and treatment interventions.
  • Undertaking duty as part of a rota system, undertaking urgent assessments and telephone triages.
  • Managing and administering community medications such as depots and clozapine.
  • Conducting physical healthcare checks in line with local and national policy.
  • Liaising with other trust and third part teams and organisations as part of a holistic treatment model.

This role will be 5 days a week, 7.5 hours a day, for at least 3 months, likely to be 6 months.
The pay rate for this Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse is £23.00 (umbrella) and is to start as soon as possible.
Requirements for this Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse vacancy:
  • You must be a registered mental health nurse with a valid NMC.
  • Must have experience with mental health within a community setting.
  • Must have a natural care for others.
