Maxxima's nursing team are current recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to fill a part-time role in the Joint Homelessness Team based in Westminster. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of mental health practices within the NHS.

In this NHS role, you will have to provide nursing and social care in the community for homeless people who are not already in contact with statutory services.
You will need to undertake care co-coordinator responsibilities for individual service users within the context of a multidisciplinary team, including engagement, assessment and care planning aimed at improving mental health accessing housing.

The needs of the service may require a flexibility and willingness to work within other teams under the umbrella of the Joint Homelessness Team - Joint Assessment Service, Homelessness Prevention Initiative or Female Entrenched Rough Sleeper Project.

You will also need to be an active member of the Westminster Joint Homelessness Team and to undertake assessments, provide treatment and individually tailored CPA/ LPC care packages for a defined caseload of adults of working age, and their families/carers, who have severe and enduring mental illness.

The team work in a therapeutic, client-centred way and use a range of evidence-based interventions to help promote recovery through individual or joint working with other professionals.

This role is flexible with a shift pattern of 3 days one week, 2 days the next.

The pay rate for this Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse is £25.39 per hour (Umbrella). This will be a 3-month contract and a start date in January 2020.

Requirements of this Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse vacancy:
* All applications must be a registered mental health nurse with Valid NMC pin.
* All applicants must have community mental health experience.
* All applicants must have experience undertaking assessments and providing treatment to adults who have severe and enduring mental illness.
