Maxxima's nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Lymphoedema Practitioner/Specialist to fill a job role in West Hertfordshire.

This NHS role would require you to take the lead on a mixed caseload, supported by a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure that the care provided directly meets each individuals needs. You will assess and manage patients with all types of lymphoedema with a degree of autonomy and responsibility for own caseload under the supervision of Lead Practitioner. You will be required to develop specialist knowledge to be able to advise staff, patients and carers. You will manage, under supervision, the prevention of chronic oedema related exacerbation's; including cellulitis, ulceration and lymphorrhea. Your role will also require you to assesses and plan care for complex patients, including skin care, exercise, compression therapy and SLD/MLD.

Our NHS Client are looking for a Band 6 Lymphoedema Practitioner/Specialist nurse to start on 1st October, on a Full time basis (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). The pay rate of this role is at £23 per hour (umbrella rate), and the role will initially be a two-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

Requirements of the Lymphoedema Practitioner/Specialist Nurse vacancy:
*You must be a registered nurse with current NMC pin
*You must have Post registration experience in chronic oedema treatments including compression therapy, SLD/MLD, exercise and skin care
*You must have BSc level CPD in lymphoedema or tissue viability related discipline
*It is desirable but not essential that you have a BSc in lymphoedema management
