Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role on this acute admissions ward based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of working on an acute ward and the practices within the NHS.
The team are looking for candidates who have experience working in inpatient acute mental health settings, coordinating the shifts, administration of medication, admission, discharge and ongoing CPA paperwork (care planning, risk assessment ) during admission. 
Your role will be to act as primary nurse for a defined set of patients and to work within the expectations of the ward as per substantive RMN’s in relation to job role.
This role will be working shifts on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday and will include day and night shifts
The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse is £20.00 per hour for day shifts increasing to £27.00 per hour for night shifts (Umbrella).
Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse vacancy:
  • All applications must be registered mental health nurses with Valid NMC pin.
  • Ideally to have Lorenzo access / smartcard and have used the system before, however if not the expectation would be to complete NSFT Lorenzo training.
  • Be able to work a mixture of shifts each week
