Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of CAMHS and  Mental Health and the practices within the NHS.

The Adolescent Unit is a 32 bed inpatient facility for children and young people aged 12 - 18 years old. The young people we care for are experiencing mental health difficulties that can no longer be managed in the community. This may include eating disorders or difficulties, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Your role will be to provide a defined level of assessment and access to interventions for a diverse patient group and their families under the care programme approach, who present with significant mental health problems/disorders and also to provide a realistic timely and occasionally intensive support to patients within an Inpatient setting. 
 
The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner is £23.00 per hour for days (Umbrella) with an increased rate for evening and weekend shifts.
 
This is a full time position, working on a rota basis, so will include day, night and weekend shifts.
 
Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner vacancy:
  • All applications must be registered mental health nurses with Valid NMC pin.
  • You must have previous experience working in CAMHS, ideally inpatient but children’s experience also considered
  • You must be a highly motivated individual.
  • Willing to undertake training in the management of violence reduction
  • Must have good assessment skills.
