Job description

Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role, working night shifts, in Rushden, Northamptonshire. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of crisis care.
 
This role is working in the crisis assessment team. The manager is looking for someone who is well experienced in crisis assessment as they will be asked to step into a fast paced intense environment to provide specialist assessment and brief interventions to patients across the Crisis Care Pathway, which prevents admission to ED, or contributes to a smooth and early discharge and/or prevents an admission to a mental health unit.
 
As this is a 24/7 service – the team are looking for candidates who can commit to 4 or 5 nights a week working 21:00 to 08:30
 
The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse role is £33.00 per hour (umbrella rate) for night shifts.
 
Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse vacancy:
  • All applications must be registered mental health nurses with Valid NMC pin
  • You must have excellent communication skills
  • You must be well experienced in crisis assessment
  • Must have system one & smart card
