Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of mental health practices
 
The post holder will work within the Older Adult Mental Health Team, providing mental health assessment and treatment in the community for patients with mental health needs identified within Cluster 4-21, supporting patients to work towards their own recovery.
 
The role of the community psychiatric nurse will be care coordination, mental health assessments and care planning with psychosocial interventions and medication. Carrying an independent caseload and covering duty on a rota.

The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse is £24.00 per hour (Umbrella), working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, and is a 3 month initially contract (likely to be extended) to start ASAP.

  • Valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse
  • Experience of working within a community mental health team
  • Experience or keen interest in working with elderly service users
