Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role in the Acute Crisis and Assessment Team based at Goodmayers Hospital in Essex. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and skills as a Community Psychiatric Nurse.
 
You role will be triaging referrals from other teams, carrying out initial assessments  at A&Es, community and Base (SFC), risk management, care planning and ward reviews for early discharge. You will also be responsible for carrying out assessment in 136 suite, Police station, providing support with telephone answering and picking up MHD calls after hours.
 
This role will be working 08:00- 22:00hrs, Long Days – the number of days to be agreed.
 
The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner is £25.00 per hour (Umbrella), due to start in January 2021
 
Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner vacancy:
  • You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC Pin
  • You must knowledge of crisis work, Liaison work , HTT work
  • You must have excellent interpersonal and computer skills
  • You must be able to manage your own wide caseload
