Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role in Berkshire. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of mental health practices in the NHS.

In this NHS role you will work in Older Peoples Mental Health services to take responsibility for the assessment and implementation of intensive care and treatment in the home of people with mental health problems aged 75 or over, as well as people with dementia of any age. The post holder is a highly skilled practitioner with experience and specialist knowledge of the care of older people with mental health problems and mental health crisis.   

This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week on a shift pattern. The team covers 9am-7pm weekdays and 9am-3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Weekday shift patters 9am-5pm and 11am-7pm and working approximately one weekend in four 9am-3pm.

The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella), due to start ASAP.

  • Valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse
  • Experience of working within a community mental health team
  • Experience or keen interest in working with elderly service users
