Job description

Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner, who is a Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker, to fill a full-time role in the Mental Health Liaison Team in Barrow in Furness. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and skills working in a busy mental health service.
Your role will involve the assessments of patients in Furness General, Dane Garth and their own homes with the aim of reducing hospital admission and length of stay in hospital. You will be responsible for the safety planning for patients in mental health crisis and supporting patients in the Health Based Place of Safety.
This role will be working full time on a 24/7 rota basis and this will include nights and weekends.
The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) for days increasing to £28.00 per hour for weekend and nights and is to start as soon as possible.
Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner vacancy:
  • You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC Pin or Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
  • You must have worked within a busy hospital mental health team  
  • You must be able to work on a 24/7 rota
