Job description

Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Positive Behaviour Worker to fill a full-time role in the Learning Disabilities Service in West London. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of learning disabilities and the practices within the NHS.
To be considered you will be absolutely passionate about the area of learning disabilities and committed to effective interdisciplinary working. The team work in a very person-centered way and people with learning disabilities and their families are at the center entre of what we do. To achieve this, we carry out joint assessments share our professional knowledge and work in partnership with our dedicated team administrators.
You will provide high quality specialist health care to adults with learning disabilities in order to optimize and improve their health outcomes and psychological wellbeing. The post holder will be expected to work with people with a range of presenting needs including complex care, autism, mental health and behaviours that challenge. You will undertake assessments and have a sound understanding of risk assessments and strategies. You will need excellent communication skills between disciplines and across organisations. 
The pay rate for this Band 6 Positive Behaviour Worker is £25.00 per hour for days (Umbrella).
Requirements of this Band 6 Positive Behaviour Worker vacancy:
  • All applications must be from RMN or RNLDs with NMC registration
  • Substantial post-qualifying experience (minimum 3 years) and you will have specialist skills in working with people who display behaviours that challenge
  • Previous experience of working with adults with a learning disability, also to have a good knowledge and experience in using the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
  • Must have good assessment skills.
