Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to fill a full-time role in South Westminster, London. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of Community Mental Health and the practices within the NHS.

South Westminster Hub is looking for a community mental health nurse to work with a small team of ‘primary care practitioners’ within the team.
The role is to undertake assessments with patients referred by GPs and do short term pieces of work supporting their mental health.
There will be a Duty/ Triage component on a rota, dealing with incoming assessments.

The patients referred to this service are traditionally those who do not need CMHT input, so the CPN needs to have excellent assessment skills and also have the ability to work independently. Of course, full supervision and support is always on hand.

The emphasis of this role is more on assessment and short term intervention. However, full knowledge and skills of medical interventions, as per CPN role, is needed to apply.

This role will be Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, for at least the next 3 months.

The pay rate for this Band 6 Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is £25.00 per hour (Umbrella).
