Job description

Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role in Cheshire. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in mental health practices within the NHS.

In this NHS role you will:

  • Ensure high quality Healthy Young Minds assessment of children and families referred to the Tier 3 service.
  • Provide or provide access to a range of quality psychotherapeutic interventions in accordance with individual assessed need. This will include the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of a variety of therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT.
  • Deliver therapeutic input to children and young people referred to the team.
  • Work as a co-therapist where appropriate with other members of the MDT.
  • To be responsible for and manage a defined caseload and undertake case management responsibilities within the caseload.

This role is full time, working 4 days per week over a 30 hours per week shift pattern.

The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella), due to start asap for the duration of 12 weeks.


Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Nurse vacancy:

  • You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC Pin
  • You must have experience working with children and young people
  • You must be able to start immediately
