Job description

Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for 2 Band 6 Senior Community Mental Health Nurses to fill a full-time role within this NHS Mental Health Team in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. The ideal candidates will have a significant understanding of mental health practices in the community.
 
The West Norfolk Adult Community Mental Health Team is a Multi Disciplinary team consisting of Nurses, a Non-Medical Prescriber, Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychology, Assistant Practitioners and Peer Support Workers.  The team provides secondary mental health services for services users from the age of 27 to 75 living in West Norfolk.
 
The team are an experienced, highly skilled and passionate team who are well supported by an experience administration team who have close links with our local Recovery College and Acute services who are all based on the same site. They also work closely with Acute Service colleagues and undertake joint visits on a regular basis.
 
We are looking for 2 Band 6 CPNs who have previous community experience, along with experience of working within Adult Mental Health Services and working within a multi-disciplinary team. On top of this you will have experience in undertaking Mental Health assessment and risk assessment and its management
 
The pay rate for this Band 6 Senior Community Mental Health Nurse is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella), working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
 
 Requirements of this Band 6 Senior Community Mental Health Nurse
  • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health Nursing
  • Experience working within a community mental health team
  • Working knowledge of CPA and Mental Health Act
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to process, plan and delegate work
  • Ability to identify and action change in health care need
  • Satisfactory verbal and written English language skills
  • Able to time manage and reflect on clinical practice
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Works well as a team as well as autonomously
