Maxxima’s Nursing Team are currently recruiting for a Band 6/7 CAMHS Nurse to fill a full time role based in Barking, East London. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of children and adolescent mental health.


Your role will be to carry out an initial assessment for young people and children and be confident to carry out mental state examination during assessment. You will provide leadership, and promote initiative, creativity and motivation in CAMHS where appropriate. Part of your role will be to manage your own caseload.


The pay rate for this Band 6/7 CAMHS Nurse role is £25.00-£29.00 Umbrella PH. The role is starting ASAP, working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm initially for 3 months.


Requirements of this Band 6/7 CAMHS Nurse vacancy:

  • You will be a registered mental health nurse with valid NMC pin
  • You must have clinical experience working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental difficulties
  • You must have significant experience of delivering clinically robust mental health assessments, care planning and risk
  • You will have substantial CAMHS/EWMHS clinical experience
  • You must have at least 5 years’ experience in a role delivering care in a mental health setting
