Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work in Surrey. The successful candidate will be needed to cover a caseload consisitng of:
  • To work as part of the SALT feeding and communication teams
  • To manage a caseload of children with a range of communication needs across settings including schools and clinic.
  • Work with Children with Education and Health Care Plans where SLT has been identified as part of the provision.
  • Complete assessments and annual reviews, write individual programmes, set up groups, provide advice and resources and review outcomes with a functional based focus.
  • To work collaboratively with children, families and other professionals to achieve outcomes for individuals, providing support, programmes, ideas, advice and assessment.
  • To provide advice to others regarding the management and care of children with social communication difficulties.
  • To demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence based practice and outcome measures.
Position: Paediatric Dysphagia Schools/Clinic Speech and Language Therapist
Banding: 6
Location: London
Hours: Full-Time
Duration: ASAP - 3 Months (with potential for an extension).
Essential skills 
  • Must be HCPC and RCSLT registered
  • SLT qualification 
  • Previous paediatric experience both in Dysphagia and Communication
The job will give an opportunity to be involved in the assessment, diagnosis, review and training to others where appropriate for children with feeding and communication difficulties.
