Job description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking for a Band 6 Triage Clinician to fill a full-time role in Maidstone, Kent. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and skills as a Triage Clinician.

In this NHS role, you will be in charge of screening all new referral for risk, then you will telephone triage all new referral from young people, families and professionals and transfer or signpost to most appropriate service for that individual. You will need to record all clinical activity on patient information system and clinic diary and you must be confident in using electronic information systems.

This role will be full time to meet the needs of the team. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm, 37.5 hours.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Triage Clinician job is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) due to start ASAP.

Requirements of the Band 6 Triage Clinician role:
  • You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC Pin.
  • You must have at least 2 years previously working with mental health.
  • Preferred if you have CAMHS experience.
  • You must have good communication and organisation skills.
  • You must have extensive clinical experience working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
