Job description

Maxxima’s Nursing Team are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Crisis Nurse/CAMHS clinician to fill a full time role in Barnet, North West London. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of working in CAMHS in both a local clinic and hospital setting.
 
The service is for children and young people aged from 0-18 years with mental health problems, disorders and illnesses, who require the help of a multi-disciplinary mental health service. Your role will be to provide assessment, support and treatment to children and young people with combined mental health problems. The service covers a range of treatment, from medication prescribing and monitoring to therapeutic support. You will be working with a range of problems including emotional difficulties, behavioural problems such as aggression, eating disorders, severe psychiatric illness such as psychosis, Self-harm or risk of self-harm, Trauma and Sleeping, feeding and behavioural difficulties in under 5's that result in severe disruption of family life and development.

The pay rate for this Band 7 CAMHS Clinician role is £30.00 Umbrella PH. The role is starting ASAP, working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for a period of 12 months.

Requirements of this Band 7 CAMHS vacancy:
  • All applications must be a registered mental health nurse with Valid NMC pin.
  • You must have CAMHS experience
  • You must have experience working in Crisis in a Local Clinic and Hospital setting
  • You must have experience providing both assessment and treatment
  • You must be available to start ASAP for 12 month placement for continuity for the patients
