Job description

The Pharmacy team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 8a Pharmacist at a hospital in Bristol. This pharmacist will have previous experience working on hospital wards.

Position: Pharmacist
Banding: 8a
Location: Bristol
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Ongoing contract
Essential skills:
  • GPHC Registered
  • Clinical Experience 
  • Relevent UK experience


Role overview:

Working with hospital inpatient dispensary team to support the pharmacist with clinical screening of hospital patient prescriptions and patient medications (Day case medication, outpatient medication, take home prescriptions) • Working with hospital inpatient dispensary team to support the final accuracy checking of dispensed medication against hospital prescriptions • Support the flow of work through the inpatient dispensary's to ensure work is being completed within target (75 minute target for discharge medication) Prescriptions / orders are presented on the Trust's electronic patient record programme.
