Band 8A - Radio Pharmacy Locum - Manchester

The Pharmacy team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 8a Pharmacist. The successful pharmacist will be working full-time hours across Monday to Friday. We are looking for a pharmacist with previous aseptic experience.
Position: Pharmacist
Banding: 8a
Location: Manchester
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Ongoing contract

Typical duties include:

• Participate in the aseptic manufacture of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals
• To comply with requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice Undertake routine monitoring and maintenance of the Radiopharmacy clean room suite and associated equipment
• Maintain suitable levels of both stock and non-stock items in the Radiopharmacy.
• Dispose of radioactive waste in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
• Facilitate good medicines management including stock rotation, removal of excess and expired stock
• Contribute to procurement activities to ensure adequate and responsive stock holding
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with health and safety at work act and the control of substances hazardous to health regulations
• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to capabilities of the role

 
 Essential skills:

• Experience of aseptic manufacturing techniques for sterile medicinal products using a negative pressure isolator
• Experience of aseptic manufacturing operations for preparation and testing of radiopharmaceutical
• Experience of handling radioactive materials
• GPHC Registered
• Clinical Experience
• Relevent UK experience
