Maxxima is currently looking to recruit a band 8a CAMHS Service Lead for a hospital in Berkshire. The Vacancy will be for a minimum of 6 months on a Mon-Fri, 9-5 basis and will have a starting pay rate of £36 per hour.
The CAMHS specialist community teams support young people with multiple or complex mental health difficulties. These include eating disorders, severe depression, anxiety disorders that severely limit normal daily functioning, complex trauma, suicidal or significant self-harming behaviours and tic disorders.
This post will be responsible for the leadership and development of the specialist community teams (SCTs) covering the population of the east of Berkshire and Wokingham. Each of the SCTs comprises psychiatrists, family therapists, clinical psychologists and psychotherapists. Some teams also have specialist nurses, specialist mental health practitioners and creative therapists.
*To lead and enhance the professional care of children, young people and their families within the Specialist Community Team (SCT).
*It is a senior outward facing role in BHFT services and it is expected that the post holder will exert necessary influence at both strategic and operational levels as required.
*The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the CAMHS Specialist Community teams in the east of Berkshire and Wokingham providing operational and clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team.
*The post holder will ensure that the specialist community teams service function as an integral part of Berkshire's Child &Adolescent Mental Health Services.
*The Service Manager for the SCTs will have delegated responsibility from the Director of CYPF for ensuring the development and delivery of high quality, responsive and efficient mental health services for children, young people and their families. Work collaboratively with key partner organisations including local authorities, CCGS, NHSE, acute Trusts (Royal Berkshire Hospital, Frimley Health hospitals), service users and their families, clinicians within the multi-disciplinary teams with the objective of setting the highest possible standards and person-centred care in accordance with the service philosophy, agreed national standards of clinical excellence and relevant national legislation.
*The post holder will work collaboratively with their director and the other senior operations managers to develop and deliver services that are responsive to local and national directives and need. This will include the transformation of services along an integrated route ensuring the alignment with other services. This will be delivered by a robust multi-skilled workforce.
*The post holder will be required to demonstrate that the services provided give value for money including the development of an approach to activity and finance information, which will enable a tariff to be set for services delivered. They will be responsive to both local and National requirements, embracing innovation and delivering in line with what matters to CYPF and other key stakeholders; and demonstrate the ability to be both flexible and agile.
*To provide visible transformational leadership that delivers high quality services for children, young people and their families, and continue to develop and support the initiation, facilitation and coordination of a comprehensive programme of service change within CAMHS to modernise the way in which the organisation functions and provides its services that better meet the mental health needs of children, young people and their families.
