Maxxima is currently searching for healthcare professionals with NHS experience for a Band 3 or 4 Rehab Assistant role in Hertfordshire .
The Unit:
Patients are referred in from acute trusts following illness and surgery or from home as prevention of admissions cases. They follow one of three pathways; a 19 day rehab pathway, a complex pathway of 28 days and a NWB pathway. The department are currently a COVID negative unit, where patients are swabbed prior to admission.A good understanding and adherence to infection control standards is required. Full PPE, training and guidance will be given.
The role:
- Monday to Friday 8.30-16.30, Weekend shifts may be available if needed but will be discussed prior to implementation
- You will play an active part in discharge planning including liaising with the multidisciplinary team about equipment and care needs
-Also making referrals to other outside services such as: intermediate care teams, HES and outpatient rehab services
Requirements:
- Previous expereince in a similar role is essential, NHS experience is desirable
- Good communication skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to communicate complex / sensitive information requiring empathy and reassurance
-Valid DBS- we can provide this
-Available ASAP
Rates will range from £10.50-£15 p/h
