Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Cardiac Nurse to work across UK regional sites. This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions.

Working as a Cardiac Nurse, you will work alongside a team of Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and wider MDT in the delivery of high-quality care and patient-focused services to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Unit

Location: UK wide (hotel covered if required and/or car allowance/mileage paid)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (36 Hours)
Hours: 3 Long Days Monday - Sunday, plus on-call

On a typical day you will:
  • Scrub and run for a variety of cardiac procedures to maintain a high level of clinical and technical skill.
    Ensure safe puncture site/wound management post procedure and that the patient is safely discharged home in line with specific discharge criteria.
  • Work as part of the team providing 24/7 primary PCI service via an on-call rota
  • Ensure that the department is stocked at the end of each clinical session in preparation for PPCI/out of hours cases.
  • Deputise for your Senior Nurse ensuring monthly audit is completed and submitted to the Lead Cardiac Nurse within the deadline. (where required)

What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • Be an experienced Registered Cardiac Nurse with demonstrable experience of working in the Catheter Laboratory environment.
  • Be a Registered Nurse (RGN) Level 1 or equivalent (Adaptation course) ENB 998 or equivalent.
  • Have competency in IV Drug administration and medicines management
  • BLS as a minimum with a desire to be ILS competent
  • Be prepared to undertake travel (UK and Ireland) and to stay away from home
