Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking for an experienced Health Protection Nurse to fill a full time role based Bury, Greater Manchester.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and skills as a Health Protection Nurse. It is a requirement that you would need to work 1 weekend day every fortnight.

In this NHS role, you will need to work as part of a multidisciplinary Public Health Team and with a range of stakeholders to provide assistance with the surveillance, prevention and control of communicable diseases in Bury. You will support the Lead Health Protection Nurse to deliver across a range of Health Protection activities including supporting service planning, development and implementation of policies, protocols, procedures and guidelines, and to provide assistance with the provision of specialist public health and supporting response to incidents and outbreaks as required
 
The pay rate for this locum Health Protection Nurse job is £15.51 per hour (PAYE) due to start ASAP.

Requirements of the Health Protection Nurse role:
  • Level 1 Nurse registered with the NMC.
  • Working towards –  MSc Infection Control or equivalent level of proven experience, Relevant qualification in Infection Control e.g. ENB329 or equivalent, Diploma/Degree in Infection Control/Microbiology.
  • Experience of working in community settings,  of primary or acute care.
  • Must be able to work the hours/days required for this role.
