Job description

Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of community equipment services to local authorities and the NHS.

As an occupational therapist, you will work with the senior management team, referrers, suppliers, and store teams to successfully deliver a person-centred service to supports individuals accessing the right equipment to support their needs.

Location: Bristol
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 Hours)
Hrs: Monday-Friday (occasional weekend if required) 9am-5pm

What’s in it for you?

Salary: £40’000 - £42’000

On a typical day you will:

  • Advise, support and direct all CES prescribers on the following:                                                                  (Appropriate use of equipment) Catalogue range, Clinical reasoning, Clinical governance, Service provision.
  • Support development, review, updating and promotion of clinical governance and prescription criteria policies and documents, interpreting national policies and guidelines relevant to the speciality
  • Support / chair the equipment review group or groups to provide an ongoing review and assessment of the catalogue
  • Arrange and hold training and demonstration days for prescribers
  • Contribute to the financial delivery of the service ensuring it is cost effective and compile reports detailing the demand and saving produced by the RSP work
  • To arrange and chair market tests for catalogue and special items
What will you need to succeed in this role?

· Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy

· HCPC Registered

· Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience at a senior level

· Experience of community equipment services

· Full clear driving license with own car is preferable
