Job description

Maxxima are searching for a band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience working within an acute environment. There are 3 separate job roles at a busy East London Hospital. 

Respiratory:  Assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory conditions/gastro conditions that may impact on function. also includes working with patients on a Cardiac care unit. Ability to discharge plan and effectively prioritise and manage a medical caseload.
 
Orthopaedic: Assessment and treatment of patients that have come in for elective Hip or knee surgery. Ability to manage a small caseload of patients who will be inpatients for up to 48 hours, so it is essential this person is able to priortise and work in an organised manner.

A&E: Working in A&E, to assess and treat patients that could potentially be discharged on the same day/next day.


Requirements of the role
*Experience of working within an acute environment
*Band 6 experience 
*Respiratory/ Orthopaedic/ A&E experience desired
*Knowledge of a broad range of medical conditions
*Strong prioritisation and delegation skills
*Full time hours preferable
*ASAP start
*Available on an on going basis
