Job description

Maxxima have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist - Young People Mental Health, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Potters Bar, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As an Occupational Therapist , you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:
  • Maintaining evaluation records of performance for individual patients, providing verbal or written data for ward rounds, assessment review meetings and actively participate in the clinical discussion of service users’ needs, in the development of care plans
  • Contributing towards mental health assessments contributing to service users recovery at Potters Bar Clinic
  • Liaising closely with other members of the clinical team, demonstrating a commitment to effective teamwork and people-focused care
  • Identifying and actioning relevant referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
  • Attending and actively contributing to CPA’s/case review meetings, working collaboratively with Patient Care Team colleagues in the planning and delivery of patients’ treatment programmes
What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Driving License
  • Experience in working within mental health settings  
  • Occupational Therapy assessment processes and report writing skills
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy
