Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for an Oncology/Haematology Senior Staff Nurse to work in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated private facility, specialising in the treatment of Haematological Malignancies and Solid Tumours.

Working as an Oncology/Haematology Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for working in a supporting experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment.

Location: Central London
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 Hours)
Hours: Shifts: Long days/nights/weekends

On a typical day you will:
  • Ensure patients' medical, physical and emotional needs are met by effectively communicating with the patient and their families 
  • Deputise the sister/charge nurse, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are delivered.
  • Ensure day to day smooth running of the unit working together with other clinical areas to ensure safe patient flow
  • Ensure high levels of professional behaviour are adhered to at all times. 
  • Be an advocate for the patient, working within the multidisciplinary team

What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
  • Substantial post registration experience with a Haematology or oncology setting 
  • SACT passport
  • Chemo giver
  • Mentorship and Preceptorship experience, and a desire to work towards an ENB 998 certificate
  • Motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent communication skills
