Maxxima has a new opportunity for a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to fulfil a full time role based at St Mary's Hospital in London. Part time options will also be considered 

The role is available to start asap for 3 months and the pay rate is between £24.00 and £32.00 an hour depending on experience. 

The post holder will be an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with advanced skills in the field of paediatric dysphagia. The post holder will provide input to a caseload of infants and children with complex feeding/swallowing and communication disorders on the acute wards at St Mary’s Hospital, including the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and on occasion clinical cover to the Neonatal units on St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s sites. The clinical role will include working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide a specialist service to infants and children. The post holder will be involved in discharge planning, ensuring a seamless transfer to SLT colleagues and services in the community. The post holder will be able to manage their caseload and workload independently, providing a service based on clinical need.  S/he will be a key member of the paediatric SLT team at ICHT and will contribute to the overall development of the paediatric service.  S/he will provide specialist teaching and training sessions to professional colleagues within the Paediatric services
