Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for an Paediatric Critical Care Staff Nurse based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a the only Private Hospital in the UK devoted to high quality, specialist care to women and children who are proud to have developed a reputation as one of the world’s leading providers of private healthcare in Obstetrics, Women’s health and Paediatrics.

Working as a PICU Staff Nurse, you’ll be part of a team providing high standards of holistic, patient focussed care. Working on a 1:1 Nurse to patient ratio and with extra support available at all times in a caring, supportive environment with better facilities and more time where it counts, with your patients and their families.    

Location: London
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 Hours)
Hours: You will need to be flexible to work long days, nights and weekends based on internal rotation

On a typical day you will:
  • Work across a spacious, modern 14 bed unit and spread across 2 floors consisting of a mix of ITU and HDU beds
  • Work with the latest technology, such as a new EOSedge scanner
  • Receive 24/7 access to support from a team of leading Consultant Paediatric Intensivists
  • Cover a variety of specialisms, working on a wide variety of cases including cardiac, neuro, spinal, gastro, orthopaedic, general, ENT and trauma
What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • NMC-registered Children’s Nurse
  • Previous experience within a Paediatric ICU, HDU or NICU environment
  • Ability to work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Care, compassion and empathy
