The Speech and Language Therapy team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to cover an exciting paediatric opportunity. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will be working with a multi-disciplinary team on a part-time basis. Ideally two weekdays plus Saturdays.

KCC was established in 1996 and is a thriving South-West London based practice with an international team of PTs, OTs and SLTs offering high quality therapy to babies and children. The team of experienced therapists value early intervention and a multi-disciplinary approach and strive to help children to live their lives fully. We are experienced in seeing a wide variety of childhood conditions from babyhood to early teens. KCC also runs handwriting and social skills groups and offers TLP.
 
Therapy sessions are offered in clinic, at home and in schools in the Greater London area. The caseload is varied and stimulating. Candidates will be involved in skill development within our multi-disciplinary team, as well as employing their specialist knowledge as an SLT to ensure KCC offers comprehensive support programmes that help the child, the family and the educational setting.

Key skills and interest may include video PCI, autism, complex needs, AAC, writing EHCP advice, working with families and schools, phonology. Therapy is provided in clinic, homes, and schools but on Saturdays it is usually based at clinic.

Position: Speech and Language Therapist
Banding: 6/7
Location: South West London
Hours: Part Time 
Duration: TBC (with potential for an extension).
Essential skills:
  • HCPC registered
  • Relevant Speech and Language Therapy qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate paediatric experience
  • Ideally have training and experience in Therapeutic Listening
  • Use of own transport would be beneficial.
